Maternity Portraits - Queen Elizabeth Park - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

I must say that Queen Elizabeth Park never fails me as a beautiful location to shoot. This stunning mother to be was a little leery of her first professional photo shoot but as you can see she looked gorgeous in front of the camera. She also appreciates mother nature as a background as much as I do. Check back in the fall for her newborn shoot.

Family Portraits - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

I'm starting to dig myself out of the backlog of work over the last few months. I continued to shoot a little while my father was ill but sitting at a computer to edit was something I could not focus on.  So many beautiful pictures coming your way.

I'm extremely lucky to work with some genuinely nice families. This portrait session was an engagement family portrait combo because they already shared a daughter and when you see her cuteness you will understand why we included her. It is always a great way to get to know each before the wedding day and understand just how comfortable they are with the camera. This family had no issues. The "magic hour" light contributed to Queen Elizabeth parks beauty. Enjoy.

Siblings and Cousins - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

My favorite part about shooting close friends especially these friends is watching their children grow. They come from a family of giants so they soon will all be taller than me which is why I usually bring a ladder to sessions. They are part of my extended family and love my time with them.

Fall at Queen Elizabeth Park - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

Last night I went to Queen E Park expecting nothing but fall but the park was still holding onto a little bit of summer. This park never disappoints as I am always able to find something new to shoot.  It always makes me happy to go there.

Flower Therapy - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

For me heading outside by myself with my camera is definitely therapeutic. Its a great distraction from the world racing around me. I love flowers in all shapes and forms but one of my favorites is tulips. Last month I headed up to Queen Elizabeth Park to shoot some spring flowers when I came across a beautiful white tulip with a red stripe through the middle of one petal. So beautiful and unique. My world is quite calm right now (knock on wood) as I got to spend the afternoon with my Father on Father's Day. A day I would have dreaded a few months ago but things are holding steady right now.  A normal day today which is so different from a normal day 6 months ago.

Happy Fathers Day Dad. These flowers are for you.
