Lets Connect Again - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

Did you miss me? I have been missing you. The day of my last post I lost a another important person in my life, my father in law Howard. Three months to the day that I lost my father. To say this year has been extremely hard would be an understatement. I was lucky to have my husbands support while my father was ill and had to forget my sadness and do the same for him. Not sure how I would have dealt with this year without him. I really appreciate all the patience while people wait for their photos or rescheduled sessions and the neglect this blog. I often post daily photos to my Facebook or my Instagram accounts if you need a little photo fix. Come by tomorrow as I will have a beautiful Ontario wedding up on my blog.

Seattle Part 1 - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

After we put down our 18 year old furry friend last year my husband and I decided we needed to get out of town for a few days. We got in the car and headed for the border. We spent a few days in Seattle being tourists which we haven't done in ages.  Of course we headed to the the Pike Place Market, checked out the second hand stores, the amazing EMP Museum and the stunning Dale Chihuly Garden and Glass. I knew Chihuly was famous for his sculptures but he has also some really interesting collections housed in the cafe.

 

 

Happy Birthday To My Dad - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

Today is my father's 69th birthday. It makes me so very very happy to say those words. If you have followed my blog that last couple years you know how much my father means to me and how grateful I am every day that he is in my life. On the weekend I got together with my family to celebrate and as always my nieces were there to entertain and make everyone smile. My parents also have some gorgeous mountain views from their house and they were in all their glory during my visit.

 

HJM Turns 40 - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

When I was nine my family moved from Regina, Saskatchewan to Langley, BC.  At the time I hated that we had to move because I had to leave all my friends behind and everything seemed so different here. The following year I met a girl in my grade 4 class that I'm still friends with to this day.  She turned 40 last November and was lucky to be able to spend her birthday with her friends and family.

My Little Oreo - Vancouver BC Based Photographer

Two months ago today my husband and I said good-bye to our 18 year old cat Oreo. She was my very first pet and extremely loyal to the end no matter how many times my husband bribed her with tuna. She had lived with diabetes for over four years and it was starting to take its toll on her.  I miss her following me from room to room and I especially feel her absence when my husband is on the road for work. I miss her little face, her 5am wake up calls, her hogging my computer chair, I miss her....
