Tofino

I'm heading to Tofino to shoot a wedding for two very good friends. Its a true honor to be involved in this small intimate get together. No new pictures for about a week. I promise it will be worth the wait........

Never Leave Home Without It

I can honestly say that I never leave home without my camera. I sometimes contemplate it because it’s a little heavy but I’m always worried I will miss some fantastic photo opportunity, which makes me change my mind. A couple days ago when I was leaving my part time job out at UBC I drove past an eagle sitting on the side of the road drinking from a puddle. I doubled back, parked across the street and brought out the zoom lens. I have never in my life seen an eagle sitting a few feet from cars and buses whizzing by him. He was thirsty and the growing spectators and dive bombing crows did not bother him.

Paris

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by the most creative group of friends. When my girlfriend suggested we head to Paris for the day, aka Trout Lake, I was so very excited. We chatted, ate cheese, drank wine, wore costumes and took lots of amazing photos. There was even some obnoxious French Canadian guys in the park to make us feel like we were really in Paris.

I love going on day dates with my husband especially somewhere I can take lots of photos. We headed to the aquarium last week to see the new addition. You were limited to 5 minutes for viewing the baby beluga after waiting 40 minutes but it was well worth it. The birds of prey show was one of the many shows we watched where we got to see this beautiful eagle.
