It had been way too long since I was over to Bowen Island for a visit with this family. We were lucky to have the last decent shooting day at the beginning of the month before fall really showed up. With two little boys, two dogs and a restaurant this is one busy family.

At the beginning of the month I headed over to Bowen Island to shoot local eatery Miksa. This local favorite is just a few minutes walk from the ferry is owned and run by an old friend from Whistler Michael Nagy and his lovely girlfriend Jazzmin Carson.  My husband and I were lucky to be at the receiving end of many home cooked meals by Chef Nagy during his time in Whistler.  So happy to see the success they have had with Miksa and Jazzmin also doubled as model, which she pulled of well considering she just gave birth to their second child at the end of April. 

Old friend new friends

Last week my husband and I headed over to Bowen Island to visit an old friend that we hadn't seen in five years and have dinner at his restaurant, Mis-ka.  I was excited to finally meet his lovely girlfriend and their little boy. I had made friends with her on Facebook over a year ago so it was great to finally meet her face to face. It was great catching up while enjoying the amazing food that Nagy and his staff had prepared for us. Such a feast. We hope to make it over again soon.
